Amanda Kasper + Brad Hover | Aug 25, 2017
Amanda and Brad’s late summer wedding in downtown Durham was absolutely stunning. Though they currently live in New York, they returned to the city they met in to celebrate with friends and family.
For their wedding, they envisioned bringing nature inside which was accomplished by using large ferns to create lush greenery along the aisle that contrasted perfectly with the industrial feel of their venue. Small maidenhair ferns were placed around the venue, including the head table where they were paired with plentiful flowers, candles and a moss runner. A dramatic, hanging display of greenery was the perfect final touch to the head table and looked amazing paired with the natural look of the florals. The surrounding tables were outfitted with white and light green linens, sprigs of greenery, and flower arrangements in soft, mix-matched shades and textures. The result? A simple, elegant and bright atmosphere that perfectly captured the couple’s vision.
The day included many personal, thoughtful touches including ice cream cones in lieu of a wedding cake and stops at a few of their favorite Durham places for photos.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
