Moriah Njoku + Derek Johnson | May 27, 2017
Moriah and Derek met through mutual friends on an unplanned evening back in December 2013. As fate would have it, neither were super psyched to be going out that night but little did they know, it would turn out to be the beginning of their beautiful love story. After three years together full of travel, memories, and adventures, the two took one more romantic trip down to Miami to ring in the New Year. While there, Derek surprised Moriah with a different kind of ring: a sunset proposal in their hotel room!
Weeks before her wedding, Moriah had an incredible bridal shoot. A huge fan of history and all things vintage and antique, Moriah knew the Duke Mansion was the perfect location for both her Charlotte wedding and her bridal session. She envisioned her wedding to be classic and timeless, something her great grandchildren would look back on and be wowed by its elegance. Being all dolled really brought everything into perspective for Moriah and made all the planning a reality. Moriah was thrilled that her wedding paid homage to her West Virginia roots and that most of her vendors, including her photographer, made the trip all the way from West Virginia just to make her day perfect! One of the best parts of the day for Moriah was seeing her mother beaming with joy and pride to see her little girl ready to become a wife – it was an indescribable happiness and a moment that the two will always cherish. Overall, Moriah loved every moment of her special day and the wonderful memories will stay with her forever.
Congratulations, Moriah and Derek!
