Pearls & Prohibition 1920’s Styled Shoot

The 1920’s were the inspiration and design behind this fabulous shoot by Mint to Be Weddings and a team of fantastic vendors. The team chose Stowe Manor because it was the perfect fit for the Gatsby Mansion Party look they were envisioning. The moody library looked like it was straight out of the Prohibition era with its gold foil walls, dark features, fireplace, wall sconces, and vintage patterns. For the theme, the goal was to stick with the traditional colors of black and golds but focus more on design with art deco patterns. The team incorporated lots of design through intricate invitations, gilded linens, and gold-trimmed plates and glassware. Nona’s Sweets designed a gorgeous 3-tiered caked full of vintage detail and floral textures. Fabulous specialty rentals were brought in to give that 1920's look and feel, including a red carpet, vintage furniture, and an antique car for the arrival and exit. The models, who are married in real life, looked dashing in their 1920’s-style ensemble. The bride was Gatsby bridal perfection and her makeup by Makeup by Norelle B and side-swept hair was so vintage glam. The entire shoot was so much fun and was filled with dancing, champagne toasts, cigars, and flirting – everything the Gatsby-era embodies!
