Bustld is an online wedding resource with a boutique feel and marketing approach. It was built by vendors for vendors and couples to fill the gap that currently exists in other online resources. We focus on sharing our vendor's stories everywhere couples are - from Instagram to podcasts - in a hyper local way.
We differentiate ourselves in three main ways:
Husband and wife team Ryan & Samie Roberts are the forces behind Bustld. They wanted to create a simple, modern, transparent resource for engaged couples that provided local inspiration and access to the best vendors in each market. As a couple who remembers their own wedding planning experience, they wanted to offer couples a way to easily match to the best vendors for them. And as a wedding vendor, they also wanted to offer vendors a way to authentically connect with the right couples for them.
Ryan (or Mr. Bustld as we call him around here) comes from a background in data and technology sales. It was classic story: Southern boy follows girl to New York City and falls in love with the city life and his job on Wall Street (it goes something like that, right?). He has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, watching his grandmother start and run a business throughout his childhood. With more than eight years experience in the data world, he combines a unique perspective of understanding how to use data to make your life easier with his passion to help people. Watching and helping his wife start her own wedding planning company has exposed him to all the ins and outs of the wedding world, and the holes in the marketplace that Bustld can fill.
Samie provides the creative and industry insight alongside the operational expertise at Bustld. Her background in public relations and event planning at one of the top boutique beauty & fashion PR agencies in New York City provided her with lots of knowledge and know-how on how to properly design and execute a large event. From there, she used that knowledge to transition into helping people design and execute their dream weddings at Something Perfect. She combines all this knowledge in her passion for bringing wedding inspiration and knowledge to couples at Bustld.
