A passion for helping people navigate the tricky waters of wedding planning is what drew Allie Danae Walker to start both a wedding planning company and a bridal boutique.

Whether brides are hiring Allie for planning services or relying on her expertise in saying “yes” to the dress, they are instantly attracted to her passion.

“My couples know I follow through and am passionate about what I do. They don’t have to worry about things when they hand it off to me,” she explained.

Seeing her couples surrounded by love is what drives her.

“A wedding is a party with a purpose. It is the one time every single person you love will be in one room, and every single person your fiancé loves will be in the same room,” she said. “I want to handle the nitty gritty details so my couples can truly spend as much time as possible with their loved ones during this season.”

Celebrating big moments and paying attention to fashion have always been Allie’s passion. She also grew up among a family of entrepreneurs, so it was no surprise when she wanted to start her own business. Before diving headfirst into weddings, she worked in real estate, taught social media, ran her own virtual assistant business and worked part-time at BHLDN.

All along the way, she knew she would eventually combine her passions in the wedding world. Luckily, her talents enable her to celebrate couples in more ways than one.

First, is at her bridal shop, Katharine Marie Bridal Boutique, the only bridal shop in Anderson, South Carolina.

“When it comes to finding ‘the dress,’ I always say it should be just as memorable as saying yes to your finance,” she describes. “I understand a lot of the body image issues and insecurities that come with finding a wedding dress and want to make people feel comfortable. My sample sizes start at size 8 and go up to 22, but we can order up to 32. I want to make sure everybody has something to try on.”

She offers a bit of everything as far as styles – ballgown, fit and flare, sleeves, strapless - you name it.

“In addition to what you see in the shop, we also have some dresses that can be altered in our private collection. The dresses are available in multiple colors; a fitted skirt can become a ballgown; or a dress can be fully customized,” she said.

Outside of the shop, she also offers wedding planning services at Katharine Marie Weddings. Her attention to detail, love of people and relatable personality make her a great fit to ease the stresses of planning.

“I come from a big family and can talk your ear off about anything, and everything. I run the gamut; I am obsessed with pink but can also talk (really talk!) college football,” said the University of Georgia Bulldogs fan. “I connect really well with people and am always in your corner.”

From fighting to make an aisle runner work in a venue, to making sure guests don’t leave without seeing the firework show at your wedding, Allie truly focuses on listening and going above and beyond.

“I go out of my way to listen to the bride’s must haves for wedding day, and then I make them happen,” she said. “It breaks my heart when people say they want to elope because of stress. I want to make that feeling go away.”

She offers services from month of planning to full service, and considers her style more classic, southern and clean but not necessarily simple.

No matter what, Allie wants to simplify the wedding planning process to make it as stress free as possible for each of her couples.
