A blank space to let your imagination run wild, all with the convenience of a hotel ballroom, is exactly what you can expect when you step foot inside the Hilton Greenville.
The hotel, which boasts three ballrooms, has a little something for everybody. The Blue Ridge Ballroom has a rustic vibe for 40-80 guests; the Piedmont Ballroom has an extravagant atmosphere for the couples looking to pull out all the stops for 300-350 guests; and the Palmetto Ballroom offers a traditional, classic feel for 80-200 guests.
While each space has it’s own vibe, they all have a classy, neutral look that can accommodate any couple’s vision.
“We are extremely open to unique ideas. None of our weddings are exactly the same,” said Hailey Lape, the Social Catering Sales Manager at Hilton Greenville. “We host a little bit of everything from Indian to Greek to Vietnamese. There are no cookie cutter weddings for us.”
That approach to creating something personal is what couples love most about the venue.
“We have the ability to do whatever we want with weddings and we never like to tell a couple no,” she said. “Our space is flexible and so is our catering staff. We have a very talented chef who goes above and beyond to try to accommodate our couples by creating a custom menu for their special day.”
A flexible team with lots of experience makes all the difference. From the sales team to the banquet staff, everyone works together to communicate and pull off each couple’s big day in unison.
Hailey personally has a long list of hospitality credentials that make her an asset to couples getting married at the property. She began her career by studying culinary arts and food and beverage management in school. After graduation, she started working as an operations manager at the Marriott. When she decided to move to Greenville with her boyfriend, the position at the Hilton opened up. She jumped on the opportunity and has never looked back!
“I really like getting to work with people, so I wanted to step in to the sales world,” said Hailey. “And now as the only person who handles weddings in the space – from sales to day-of execution – our couples truly get to lean on my experience while planning.”
While she took a wedding planning course in college, it wasn’t until she started this job that she realized she could work in weddings forever.
The moment that she can never get enough of though? Right before the bride walks down the aisle.
“Right before the bride walks down the aisle, she and her dad have a few final moments together,” she said. “I get to do the big reveal before she walks down the aisle and it’s always so touching to see them together.”
