A Spring Garden Engagement Session

Hannah Green + Giffin Leiting | Apr 8, 2018

Hannah and Giffin’s love story began back in 2013 when they were both attending the University of Alabama. Hannah was a freshman and Giffin was a junior when they met at a fraternity philanthropy event, Volleyball for Veterans. She remembers the first time she saw him, wearing a silly dad-style wide-brimmed hat and showing off his decent volleyball skills. They two chatted all day and had so much fun together! It wasn’t even a couple days later when Giffin sent Hannah a Facebook friend request with a sweet message asking her out on a date. She agreed and that first date led to a beautiful relationship and eventually, a perfect engagement!

During a weekend trip down to Hilton Head with their puppy, Baxter, Giffin was planning to surprise Hannah with a beach proposal. Ring in tow, and two failed attempts later, they two finally made it to the beach to take a walk before dinner. They spotted another couple on the beach and Griffin approached them and asked them to take a picture. As he handed over the camera, he let their new friends in on his plan and asked them to capture the surprise moment. As he and Hannah were posing, the amateur photographer gave Griffin a thumbs up and he took the cue and got down on one knee and asked Hannah to marry him!

Hannah and Giffin had the perfect spring engagement session with Rebecca Hicks Photography at Glencairn Gardens in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The beautiful garden boasts amazing greens and blooming flowers, along with beautiful fountains and bridges and was the perfect backdrop for some seriously cute engagement photos. They kissed and snuggled their way around the gardens and had so much fun celebrating their upcoming wedding!

Congratulations, Hannah and Giffin!
