All White Everything Including The Sprinkle Wedding Cake

Cassandra + Joseph | Aug 11, 2018

White and gold formal wedding with a glamorous, classic and elegant touch at The Peninsula Club near Charlotte North Carolina

When Cassandra was trying to set her friend up, she wasn’t expecting to set herself up in the process! She was at Rooftop 210 in Charlotte eyeing someone who worked there for her friend when she came across Joe working security. After she approached him and introduced herself, they went their separate ways. Two nights later, they ran into each other again and finally exchanged numbers. The rest is history. The set up may have been a failure, but I think they can call it somewhat of a success!

Three years later, Joe decided it was time to pop the question. He took Cassandra to a winery to celebrate their three year anniversary. After their tour and private tasting, they were wandering the vineyards when Joe got down on one knee. When they got back home, all their family and friends were waiting to celebrate with them.

The classic, formal and glamorous event was planned for the end of summer. The all white affair was the perfect way to make things feel light and cool in the Carolina heat.

“I wanted the décor, to be clean, simple and all white with gold accents,” said the bride.

The floral décor at the church ceremony set the tone for elegance.

Aisle markers of long garlands of flowers with white roses, white hydrangeas and trailing white dendrobium orchids hung from the pews. On the altar were two large arrangements of white roses, white hydrangeas, white snapdragons, white tulips, white stock, and white dendrobium orchids with minimal greenery.

As Cassandra made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm and Joe saw her for the first time, there wasn’t a more beautiful moment. The bride wore a Stephen Yearick Couture Bridal fit and flare, off the shoulder beaded gown. The pleated ruffled skirt was everything. She wanted her look to be “glamorous and high fashion.” Combined with her diamond chandelier Badgley Mischka earrings and blinged out Badgley Mischka shoes, that is definitely the look she got!

Cassandra met her groom at the end of the aisle who looked quite high fashion himself in a custom made tux that had a blue jacket with accenting black lapel, buttons and pockets and black pants. He wore a classic black bow tie to sharpen the look. And there began, at the church altar, the start of their forever.

“The most anticipated moment was walking down the aisle and seeing Joe for the first time. The most special moment was saying our vows to one another,” the bride said.

After the ceremony, everyone headed over to the reception site. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the bridal party and couple finished up a few pictures. We would say Amanda Moss Photography perfectly captured this good looking group.

Each bridesmaid wore the same long white chiffon V-neck gown with ruffle detailing. The maid of honor wore a different white chiffon gown with silver sequin accenting. Everyone carried a smaller version of the bride’s all white rose bouquet. The whole look was flawless.

The groomsmen all wore a simple black tux with black bowtie and white pocket square. There is just something about a pocket square that makes a gentleman look extra classy!

As the couple finished up newlywed photos, the final touches were being put on the reception space. The room was set with oversized rounds and gold chiavari chairs. Each table had a floor length ivory linen and was set with gold chargers wrapped with an ivory linen napkin. In the center of each table was a gold cube vase filled with more of the same white florals from the ceremony. The head table had a long lush floral runner of matching white blooms.

As guests entered the ballroom they were wowed by the venue’s multiple crystal chandeliers, coffered ceilings and wooden dance floor. And you know what the icing on top of the cake was? Literally, the icing on top of the cake. The four-tiered all white wedding cake by Edible Art was coated head to tie in white sprinkles! It sat on top of a mirrored cake stand and was what wedding cake dreams are made of.

There were all the signs of a perfect wedding night – cake on the nose, high fives during speeches and a packed dance floor. The night ended with a sweet bubble send off as the couple’s friends and family gave them a final farewell.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
