First a Christmas Proposal, Then a Christmas Engagement Shoot

A Surprise Christmas Eve Proposal Inspired this Christmas Themed Engagement Shoot

It's said that when you aren’t looking, you’ll find what you didn’t know you were looking for. That was certainly the case for Kylie and John. The couple met like so many other couples do nowadays – through a dating app. They instantly connected, and it didn’t take long for them to know they were each other’s forever.

“The texts and calls were non-stop and still are until this day; we instantly became best friends,” said Kylie. “John said he knew within the first five minutes of meeting me that I was the one.”

For Kylie, it was when she introduced John to her daughter, Annaleigh, that she knew he was the one. After watching Annaleigh act shy and timid around most males, she was pleasantly surprised that the first time she introduced her to John she hugged him immediately and even cried when he left. Talk about sweet!

Kylie knew an engagement was coming because John had asked for her whole family’s permission to marry her – right in front of her – she just wasn’t sure when it was going to happen.

It was Christmas Eve and John was acting a little more quiet than usual. After her mom explicitly told her it wasn’t happening that night, Kylie was convinced something was wrong and John was getting cold feet.

“At this point, I thought John was breaking up with me or something was wrong and he was having cold feet because that’s how quiet he was being,” explained the bride-to-be.

Three hours into the evening and a total of four words later, Kylie’s family convinced the couple to take some pictures with Annaleigh. Next thing she knew, John was down on one knee proposing in front of all their family and friends. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

When the couple decided to take engagement pictures, they relied on their photographer’s expertise to pick the perfect location for the Christmas theme. The pictures will be a forever reminder of that perfect Christmas Eve night!

Kylie said, “I personally just wanted to keep the ‘Christmas’ classy theme going due to when he proposed.”

The couple is set to marry in April 2019 and the wedding is already completely planned! Kylie is the owner of Sweet N’ Southern Events, so there’s no surprise how or why it got planned so quickly!

Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs.!
