Yes Please to Wine and Cheese In Tuscan Inspired Styled Shoot

Mar 13, 2018

Old world Italian feel with gold and wooden accents in Tuscan inspired styled wedding shoot at Tuscan Ridge Wedding Venue near Charlotte, North Carolina

After visiting the venue, there was no question that this styled shoot would be Tuscan-inspired. From the deep chocolate color of the wood ceiling beams, doors and window frames to the vanilla textured walls to the choices in wall sconces and chandeliers, every detail at the venue made you feel as if you had just stepped into a Tuscan villa.

With the feeling of old world Italy set, the event planner wanted to create the feeling of an elegant wedding in front of the whole town.

“I wanted my bride to feel like she was the princess getting married in front of all of her town,” she said. “It was the Cinderella effect, so the bride had to have a beautiful ballgown dress.”

And a beautiful dress it was. The “bride” wore an amazingly embellished ball gown with an illusion neckline and back with diamond enclosures. Her hair was pulled back in a perfected messy low and curly do that was accented with baby’s breath. She carried a loosely tied wild looking cascading bouquet full of pink and raspberry colored blooms and accented with the right amount of greenery. The best part of the look was all the different jewelry she went back and forth between. From the engagement ring to the wedding band to the bracelets and necklaces – each one was better than the next!

Not only did the shoot get stunning jewelry from a local jeweler, but they got a surprise groom out of it!

“We didn’t have a true groom for the shoot but I noticed the jeweler was dressed in black and had a sports jacket on,” said the shoot’s planner. “I didn’t give him a chance to say no and I pushed him up to the front of the aisle and made him my groom for some of the pictures.”

The ceremony space was set in front of the oversized wooden doors. On each side of the door was an oversized floral arrangement bursting with purples and pinks and next to each arrangement was a vintage looking tall candle display wrapped in greenery. There were clusters of candles marking the aisle where the Chiavari chairs were set for guests.

As they made their way into the main space, there was a table set for a wedding as grand as the gown. We wish we could sit and enjoyed some of the amazing looking food ourselves! The tabletop was set with a soft grey linen and on top of that was an ivory colored lace overlay. At each place setting there with a gold vintage charger, gold flatware and a gold rimmed ivory dinner plate with a roll and rosemary sprig on top. There was even a matching gold rimmed ivory dipping bowl for the individual bottle of oil at each seat because, you know no Italian meal is complete without bread and your own bottle of oil!

The table was drowning with beautiful florals. The center was full of greenery and blooms in deep red and plum hues, with a few ivory and lilac colored florals to brighten it up. The florals cascaded to each side, growing into greenery that hung off the ends. In between all the flowers were different types of gold candle holders that held ivory candles of different varieties. From short and round candles to tall pillars to tall tapers, the candles really helped set the romantic mood.

One thing we can’t take our eyes off is that food display! We are a sucker for a good charcuterie plate and this one takes the cake. One of the ceremony floral arrangements was reused on the food table and was surrounded with a plethora of meats, cheese, fruit, bread, oils and wines set up on wooden crates and stands; we need one of everything please!

As if that food display wasn’t drool worthy enough, then this cake is sure to make you hungry! The three-tiered cake could not have been designed to match any better. The bottom tier was made to look like the wooden doors at the venue and is spot on. The other two tiers match the vanilla marbled walls of the venue. There was a floral cluster on each tier that perfectly accented the whole look. The cake sat on top of a silver cake stand that was on top of the champagne colored linen with a rosette pattern. It was dessert perfection.

The details and thought put into this styled shoot really made it something special. From the whole tablescape to the food display, and everything in between, we are definitely feeling inspired to buy a plane ticket to Italy! Who’s with us?!
