With so many recent weddings featuring color palettes of blues, greys and golds or navy, gold and blush, the vendor team behind this shoot wanted to do something totally different. They opted for a color palette of sage green and neutrals which is still on trend but anything but the norm.
From there, they designed a cozy, neutral shoot set at The Cannon Room, a beautiful Art-Deco themed space in downtown Raleigh. Gauzy linens offered an airiness to the tablescape and natural wood elements were complemented by shiny gold flatware. Sage green menus were highlighted by ivory florals and organic greenery while tall, tapered candles added a dramatic touch to the look.
The bride’s BHLDN dress was simple yet stunning with its texture, details and intricate beading. The floral applique overlay paired perfectly with the florals from the shoot as well as the mixed textures and colors of the bridesmaid’s dresses who were dressed in various shades ranging from taupe to sage green. Meanwhile, the groom was dressed in a tan suit.
A hot chocolate bar paired with warm blankets added to the warm coziness of the shoot. After rose petals were tossed and details were captured, the shoot moved to a nearby park where some golden hour portraits were taken. Featuring both digital and film photography, this shoot is all the inspiration we need to fall in love with this color palette.
