Growing up in The Carolina's, Joan knows a great deal about being a gracious hostess. Hospitality is the cornerstone of any great event. A wedding is the most personal event. It should reflect the couple's personalities. After all, it is the first event hosted as a married couple. Our knowledge of Southern hospitality, combined with our event planning expertise creates an inviting experience for all guests.
Joan has been planning an array of special events and conferences since 1996, to include silent auctions, charitable galas, U.S. Diplomatic events, political fundraisers, corporate affairs, and private engagements. She established Joan Day Weddings in 2007 while living in Northern Virginia, and has assisted clients in The Carolina's and the Washington, D.C. Metro area with a variety of consultation aspects, including, vendor selection; theme creation; invitation etiquette, ensemble, and design; planning on-site coordination; partial planning; and full planning services. Joan lives in Columbia, South Carolina with her family. She primarily services the Midlands, Upstate, and Low Country areas of South Carolina, but will plan events out-of-state upon request.
As a full-service Wedding and Event Planning firm, Joan Day Weddings, strives to deliver the very best. Joan Day Weddings has maintained a 5-Star Rating from clientele since our inception in 2007. We offer our clients a great deal of flexibility and choice. Our level of involvement in your special event is entirely up to you. We customize services to work within your budgetary limits and desires. Our Day-of Coordination service begins at $1,850+ (interaction begins 3 months prior to your event) and full planning (interaction begins upon hiring our firm) ranges from $3,500 or more, depending on event scale, number of guests, and if the event is a double venue or particularly complex. Our clientele typically has a wedding budget of $27,000 or higher. We only take on a limited number of wedding planning clients per year to ensure quality service and excellence is delivered. We are willing to travel and have planned weddings in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina.
$1,850 - $2,250 - Day-of-Coordination and $3,500+ for Full-Planning Services
