The Crossing at Hollar Mill

The Crossing at Hollar Mill one of the highest rated and most sought after wedding and event venue in the area. Built in the 1930's by Hollar Hosiery Mills Company, this factory was an anchor in the community until its closure in the 1960's. In the early 2010's the mill was painstakingly restored, preserving as much of the original features as possible. Twenty-four 10-foot mill windows in their original lead frames line the main room of The Crossing, letting in beautiful natural light and creating a warm inviting atmosphere contrasting with the industrial brick walls. The Crossing is on the way to anywhere in North Carolina, at a fraction of the price. We are an hour from Charlotte and Winston-Salem and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Asheville.

The Crossing offers 10,000-sq. ft. of open floor plan; we include tables and chairs for up to 200 of your guests. Our sister business, Highland Avenue Restaurant, provides all the catering for The Crossing. Highland Avenue is a farm to fork restaurant and strives to offer the best from local farmers and craftspeople to create the most sustainable food for your reception. The Crossing knows that every wedding is different, and that is why we stay away from preset menus and bar packages, instead letting you choose what is best for you, your day and your budget.

Average catering costs per person for weddings range from $25 - $35 (this includes hors d'oeuvres, plated salad, bread & butter, buffet dinner and non-alcoholic beverages {water, tea, soda, coffee}). We never charge for using our plates, glassware and flatware.
