A Classic Plantation Wedding in Elegant Black and Gold

Lindsey Harrison + David Barbour | Oct 22, 2016

Lindsey and David met while attending North Carolina State University. After dating for several years, David popped the question and it was time to take their love to the next level and get married!

Lindsey and David were married on a gorgeous October day at Rose Hill Plantation. The 18th century manor provided an atmosphere of southern hospitality and warmth, the ideal choice for the couple’s classic plantation vision. Lindsey looked absolutely stunning and was the portrait of southern elegance in her one-shoulder ballgown and soft swept up-do. Her bridesmaids elegant in long black lace gowns and a touch of sparkle. While David and his groomsmen donned tuxedos that perfectly complemented the ladies.

A sprawling lawn and stately columns provided a gorgeous backdrop for the outdoor ceremony and a string ensemble set the romantic mood. After a beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds took photos in the setting sunlight and then headed inside for a fabulous reception. The ballroom was awash in gold, black and ivory while sparkling details added to the drama and glamour all coordinated and planned with the help of Chad Biggs Event Planning & Design. Long tables were highlighted by sky-high branch centerpieces while the ceiling was literally dripping with crystal, eye-catching details. A custom logo lit up the dance floor that was the perfect place to dance the night away. The night ended with a sparkler exit that summed up the happiness felt throughout the entire night.

Congratulations, Lindsey and David!
