A Glamorous Garden Feeling With A Simply Rustic Vibe

Samantha + Billy | Apr 15, 2017

A blush and ivory whimsical garden and rustic wedding with a touch of glamour

When Samantha made plans one random Tuesday night with a girlfriend of hers, she did not expect to be meeting her future husband but that is exactly what happened. Samantha’s friend told her two of her friends would be meeting them out and one of those friends just happened to be Billy. Ever since that night, Samantha and Billy have been inseparable.

Little did the couple know, the two actually attended the same middle school but never knew each other. One day, while unpacking from a move they found their middle school yearbook and discovered that all those years ago, Samantha had known of Billy, after all. There was a heart drawn around Billy’s picture with the label “cutie” – talk about coincidental!

Samantha and Billy were actually working together at the time of the proposal. Billy was leaving work early for the day while Samantha was stuck in the office and having a rough day. On her drive home, she even called a girlfriend to vent about her terrible day, little did she know her day was about to get a whole lot better.

She arrived home, thinking it was odd that all the lights were off since Billy was supposed to be home. Suddenly, she heard their song, “Tennessee Whiskey,” playing in the background. That’s when she noticed al the candles and rose petals on the floor and Billy standing with a pile of roses in front of him that spelled out “Will you marry me?” Before Billy could kneel and give his speech, Samantha was already saying “yes” and running over to him!

The couple planned their spring wedding at the beautiful Traine. The venue offered the perfect backdrop for their simple, natural, fresh and romantic look. It was a little rustic, a little whimsical garden and a little glamour, all wrapped up into one perfect wedding look.

“We loved dreaming about what our wedding day would be like and it was everything we hoped it would be and more,” said the bride.

After spending the morning getting all dolled up, Samantha and her ladies got dressed. The bridesmaids wore matching blush floor length gowns and once they were all dressed, they helped Samantha into her show stopper dress. The bride wore a strapless lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and buttoning back. It was beautifully simple and perfect.

Once all the guests took their seats, Billy and his groomsmen kicked off the processionaland took their places at the front of the aisle with white drapery hanging behind them. The gentlemen looked very dapper and classic in their matching black suits and white ties. Then, the ladies walked down the aisle one by one carrying a lush bouquet of blush and ivory roses and peonies with lots of greenery. The trailing ribbon ties really made the whole look feel soft and romantic.

The couple exchanged their vows and officially became Mr. and Mrs. There was even a surprise guest at the ceremony. Samantha and Billy have a stuffed animal pig that they love who has become a part of their family outings and now, a part of their wedding.

“After I walked down the aisle, Billy whispered to turn around and look at my brother-in-law and said, ‘Pig is here,’” said Samantha. “My mom and Billy’s mom had secretly bought a little suit for the pig, and he was sitting in my brother-in-law’s lap!”

After the ceremony, guests headed outside to Traine’s patio, which was the perfect place for cocktail hour. When guests headed back inside for the reception, the white drapery had been pulled back and revealed a space that transported guests into a romantic, rustic garden.

Front and center was the couple’s sweetheart table that was sitting beneath a gorgeous hanging installment. Hanging from the venue’s metal beam was a rustic wooden piece that was dripping with greenery and crystals. Because who wouldn’t want to eat dinner with crystals hanging over them?!

The rest of the room was set with a mix of farm rectangular tables and round guest tables with white linens set with mahogany Chiavari chairs for a classically rustic look. The centerpieces tied the romantic garden vibe in.

The tables were all set with a variety of centerpieces. Some of the farm tables had an assortment of hurricane vases with floating candles, loose ivory petals and votives while others had hurricane glasses mixed with bouquets of fluffy white hydrangeas. One of our favorite looks was the centerpiece on the round guest tables. It was a mix of small low centerpieces made of greenery and blush and ivory blooms, all surrounded by a gold painted tall tree with crystals hanging off the branches.

Once guests had all taken their seats, the couple entered the room, shared a sweet first dance as Mr. and Mrs., and then shared their first meal together underneath a little something sparkly.

Before getting the party started, the couple cut their beautiful white two-tier cake. The horizontal frosted cake had two clusters of white roses and a single rose on top. It was surrounded by two bouquets, loose petals and tons of candlelight. Talk about a thing of beauty!

Stylus Weddings kicked off the dance floor and kept the party going all night. Even Pig got to enjoy some time on the dance floor!

The night ended with a sweet sparkler send off and the happy couple shared one last kiss to end the night, surrounded by all their family and friends.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
