A Historic Venue Wedding with Stunning Florals

Emily Schmidt + Clint McDowell | Jun 25, 2016

Emily and Clint had a gorgeous summer wedding at a historic 1850’s home venue outside of Charlotte.  The couple are two of the most dog-loving, fun, and passionate people and their wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities from start to finish. Their outdoor ceremony was absolutely breathtaking and the stunning flower arch and mismatched chairs provided the perfect unique touch. The couple’s Great Dane, Kuma, was the flower girl and was such a hit with the guests! Emily’s lace gown was the perfect mix of vintage and romantic and looked amazing with her flower crown and veil combination. Her bridesmaids’ mix & match gowns in their dusty hues were a fabulous twist on the traditional bridal party look and brought the natural-pretty vibe to life. For the reception, a dramatic flower chandelier was the visual focal point in the outdoor tent and perfectly tied in the floral table décor and greenery runners. Natural twig centerpieces brought height and dimension to the reception look and hanging tealights added a romantic, whimsical touch. A beautiful dinner was provided by Chef Charles Catering! In a wedding full of style and playfulness (all captured by Rob + Kristen Photography), the highlight of the evening was definitely Emily's surprise rendition of "Super Bass" by Nick Minaj -- she rapped the entire song flawlessly, and the guests loved every second of it! The entire day was full of love and laughs and Emily and Clint had the most amazing time dancing in the nighttime summer air with their closest friends and family.

Congratulations, Emily and Clint!
