A Holiday Affair

Jul 25, 2020

Glamorous, holiday-inspired styled shoot with blush pink and rich evergreen tones at The White Fallow Estate in Buford, Georgia

As more and more brides are faced with the decision to postpone or cancel their weddings due to the pandemic, this creative team drew inspiration from the hope and spirit of the holiday season. This is the time of year friends and families gather for all kinds of celebrations - including extravagant weddings.

“Witness these two love birds and all the decadence our glamorous decor team has to offer,” said the wedding photographer. “The chemistry is real, the gown is to die for, and the florals will have you dreaming of wanting more.”

This wedding in particular was black tie, and nothing says sophistication more than a gorgeous invitation suite. They were printed on ivory deckled-edge paper, embossed with elegant gold calligraphy and tied together with a strand of twine and a gold wax seal.

Inside the luxurious bridal suite, the two bridesmaids slipped on their sleek and classic black strapless gowns. Their dresses provided the perfect contrast against the bride’s champagne ball gown, with delicate lace overlay and a sweetheart illusion neckline. Her cathedral-length veil cascaded down the gown’s open back and dramatic train, and she wore pointed-toe pumps embellished with chic studs.

“The bride wore a custom royal ball gown and the groom wore a sophisticated three-piece tuxedo,” said the photographer, “fitting for royals!”

Adding to his dapper ensemble, the groom also wore a boutonniere made from an anemone and sprigs of pine. The winter floral design made for the most beautiful, classic bridal bouquet including pine, ivory ranunculus, garden roses and anemone. For a cozy pop of color, the bridesmaids’ bouquets had soft peach and blush peonies and ranunculus.

“Pairing romantic blush pink with rich evergreen gave them the best of both worlds,” said the photographer.

At the venue, beautiful wooded acres with a pristine lake and a vintage white barn surrounded a strikingly elegant estate home. Inside, beneath a modern wire chandelier, the couple posed halfway up the grand foyer staircase, with the bride’s train waterfalling down to the very first step.

“The estate in a league of its own was a statement piece for our royal couple to enjoy,” said the wedding photographer. “The inside of the beautiful estate was just as decadent and grandiose as the exterior.”

Sophistication was the theme throughout the decor, and for the outdoor, lakefront ceremony, they incorporated an asymmetrical arbor adorned with rich greenery and flowers that popped in varying shades of pink.

For the reception, they set the tablescape inside a charming white barn with exposed wooden beams and vintage light fixtures. At the farm table, they used rustic chairs draped in wispy linen fabric, tied with peony pink ribbons. On top, there were pink and white taper candles and floral centerpieces in antique gold vases.

“Low floral arrangements held in gold vases added a level of sophistication to the table,” said the photographer, “but still allowed guests to communicate freely.”

At each place setting, there was a modern black plate stacked with a gold-rimmed white plate, layered with a blush napkin and deckled-edge menu. The settings were complete with gold flatware and classic glassware. To the side, a gold shelving structure displayed garlands of pine, single stem arrangements and of course - a wreath.

“We added a cozy lounge area and special holiday cuisine for a more festive setting,” said the photographer.

There was another vibrant green wreath installed on the cake table, where their four-tiered cake was on display. Aligned with the holiday theme, the cake had forest green, metallic gold and ivory frosted tiers, as well as a geometric, green-and-gold marbled tier for the base. It was tied with a baby pink satin ribbon and accompanied by a plate of personalized wedding cookies.

Parked right in front of the estate’s majestic, column-lined entrance, there was a forest green, vintage convertible waiting to whisk the bride and groom away. But first - the photographer captured a final series of glamorous shots as the groom dipped his bride for a picture-worthy moment.

“Personal touches of custom gifts and a vintage getaway vehicle for the bride and groom were a hit,” said the photographer.

Congratulations to this creative team and happy planning to all the brides out there!
