Emily Andersen + Jon Bauman | Sep 3, 2017
On a bright, breezy Sunday during Labor Day Weekend, Emily and Jon’s very special military wedding took place and was beautifully orchestrated by We Tie the Knots. Emily and Jon, a naval aviator, first met in Virginia Beach, VA. Emily met Jon on a blind date and although they didn’t seriously date for quite some time, they eventually began seeing each other regularly and fell in love shortly thereafter.
One of the special attributes of Emily and Jon’s wedding was the military presence of the groom and his groomsmen. Their beautiful ceremony was complete with the couple partaking in the traditional military sword arch which added a special moment to seal the vows and begin the celebration of their lives together. Jon and his groomsmen were outfitted in Military Mess Dress complete with metals of honor and service. Emily looked perfect in her glittering gown and her bridesmaids were beautiful in their mismatched dresses in various shades of blue. The couple chose to highlight the military theme with steel blue and grey hues along with shades of white and lush greenery. The blue, white and green reception décor was a beautiful canvas for the sit-down dinner and Nona’s Sweets Bakery created the perfect cake for the theme. After dinner and all the dancing thanks to Remarkable Receptions, the couple’s final exit was complete with glow sticks and a Bentley to carry the new Mr. and Mrs. Bauman away to begin their lives together.
Congratulations, Emily and Jon!
