A Snowy Southern Wedding

Brittney Parker + Hunter Langdon |

It was ninth grade when Brittany and Hunter’s story began on a bus ride to New York for a school field trip. After finagling deals with teachers (because they were split into boy/girl groups), Hunter was able to work his way into seeing all the shows that Brittney did. At the end of the Chicago musical, the cast threw out flowers to the audience and Hunter just happened to catch one. He asked Brittney out with that very flower, completely stealing her heart

Fast forward 11 years when it was finally time for Hunter to pop the question. He always knew that Brittney dreamed of a New Year’s Eve proposal so he prepared a romantic steak dinner at his house for the holiday. After dinner, he took Brittney outside and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

For their Raleigh wedding, Brittany and Hunter had both been dreaming of a winter celebration. They chose a color palette of navy, gray and silver. The icing on the cake? Two days before their wedding it actually snowed making the most stunning snowy backdrop for their wedding day.

They had a sweet and touching ceremony in Brittney’s hometown church that was full of emotion and sentimental moments. Their reception was a winter wonderland from the silver accents to the icy blue details. The five-tier white wedding cake was decorated with intricate details and each layer was wrapped in sparkling silver ribbon with navy floral accents. Brittney’s cap-sleeve gown had the perfect amount of winter sparkle, lace and pearls. Her bridesmaids were gorgeous in their navy gowns and Hunter and his groomsmen were all so handsome in their gray suits with navy accents. They were all also total rockstars in braving the 20-degree weather!

One of Brittany’s favorite memories?

“My best memory from my wedding was saying ‘I do’ to my high school sweetheart! My other best memory was surprising my mom with a dance. Since I am an only child I knew this day would be hard and my parents would miss me a lot so dancing with just my dad was not going to be enough. I picked out ‘Mama’s Song’ by Carrie Underwood to surprise her!”

Congratulations, Brittney and Hunter!
