Kaitlin Flaherty + Elliott Bisplinghoff | Oct 14, 2017
Kaitlin and Elliott met in college while attending Methodist University. They knew each other for a few years before going on their first date at Sitti, a fantastic restaurant in downtown Raleigh. The two started dating and down the road their relationship came full circle when Kaitlin’s family came to visit from Texas. Elliott surprised her with a proposal the night before her parents arrived and then had a celebratory dinner planned with their families at none other than Sitti, the place where it all began!
Kaitlin and Elliott knew they wanted a Raleigh wedding since it was the place where their love story started. She and Elliott fell in love with the classic, clean, and urban vibe of TRAINE at Seaboard Station. They chose a color scheme of simple white, ivory and green with pops of gold and wanted to pair it with classic Raleigh touches. Kaitlin's wedding dress also served as inspiration in her planning process. It was a simple yet elegant, lace gown, and it led her to add many soft, romantic touches to the florals and other decorations.
DIY and custom décor added a personal touch to the day to make it truly “them.” One of their friends designed a handmade wooden sign with the Raleigh skyline that served as their guestbook while Kaitlin’s mom created personalized napkins and signs for the reception. A monogrammed greenery and floral wall created a fabulous backdrop for a photobooth and guests had so much fun playing with the fun props. After dancing the night away with friends and family, the newlyweds were sent off with a sparkler exit to start their new married life!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Bisplinghoff!
