Boho on the Coast

Romantic blush, cream, green and gold create a boho, coastal wedding style with a vintage touch at Topsail Beach, North Carolina

These winter days haveus longing for beach weather and this styled shoot is exactly the inspiration we needed. It takes us back to warm, romantic summer days without a care in the world.

The way the soft blush, creams and rich greens mixed with the sandy backdrop, and the way the coastal boho style carried through into the waves crashing in the background was simply amazing. Add in the complimenting gold accent and golden hour sunlight and it is perfection.

To start, the invitation suite was showcased with the sandy ground beneath it. The natural background was a nice contrast to the more boho style of the handwritten, jagged edge, water colored papers. The wax seal was the perfect touch for the look.

Next to the invitation suite was a sneak peak of the bride’s bouquet. The bouquet was filled with romantic touches like blush and cream roses but also had a boho flair thanks to the pampas grass and loose, natural tie with dangling green velvet ribbon.

The bouquet was the perfect accessory to the bride’s look. She wore a dramatic lace gown witha low V-neck and even lower back. Her hair was pulled back in a romantic low bun and the ocean breeze blew her veil around her.

Right off the dunes was an intimate table set for four. The farm table had whitewash legs that blended right into the white sand. A gauzy linen runner draped from end to end and right into the sand. In the center of the table was an oversized arrangement featuring the same blush and cream roses and accenting pampas grass. The greenery in the arrangement complimented the green vintage glassware.

The glassware sat at the head of a gold charger topped with a duo of a gold-rimmed dinner and salad plate. A place card that matched the vintage water-colored design of the invitation sat on top of the salad plate while gold silverware sat on the side and finished off the look.

Like any beach bride should, the bride ran right over to the ocean and dipped her toes in the water and let the ocean breeze flow into her dress. She then dug her toes into the sand and soaked in every last second of the beautiful day.
