Being eco-friendly doesn’t mean you lack being on-trend and fashionable, it just means you have to get a bit more creative in planning. This styled shoot proves just that.
This boho, with just a touch of rock and roll, wedding inspiration shoot has some serious style. Believe it or not, the dress used in this styled shoot is from Rent the Runway. The lace gown was a floral pattern in an off-white color, which added to the untraditional flare of this look. There was a champagne-colored ribbon belt to break up the lace in the perfect spot. The spaghetti strap and V-neck detailing added a fun flirty feeling to the look.
The bride wore her hair down with big loose curls. She added stacked beaded bracelets and dangling crystal earrings. The bracelets and earrings were provided by a nonprofit, Fashion and Compassion.
“All of their jewelry and accessories are handmade by artisans here in the U.S. and globally. One hundred percent of the profits are invested back into empowering the women (and some men) to transform their lives,” explained the photographer. “This proves that the jewelry you wear on your big day can make an even bigger impact than impressing your aunties!”
To add some rocker chic, a vintage leather jacket and cream buckle booties were used. Both the booties and the jacket were thrifted from the local thrift shop. Take the photographer’s advice and check out thrifted items for your wedding day!
“If you are dedicated, drink a ton of coffee and bring along the right pals, you can find a treasure trove of glorious wedding goodness,” she said. “Be sure that you're checking how worn they are before purchasing to ensure they will hold up on your wedding day!”
The wide brimmed woven hat worn in some of the pictures was really the chic icing on top of the cake. The cream ribbon lining of the hat tied in the whole look.
The bridal bouquet was the perfect boho mix of pink king proteas, cream and muted peach roses, eucalyptus and leather ferns. The large loose structure was tied off with a large dusty ribbon.
The backdrop of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden was the perfect complement for the boho look. The natural gardens, pergola, pillars, stone walls and, of course, living plants and flowers everywhere truly completed the look.
