Bright and Warm with Coral and Cocktails

Mar 9, 2019

Colorful and fun styled shoot featuring Coral, green, blue and pink with a summery feel at Mountain Magnolia Inn in Hot Springs, North Carolina

With summer knocking on our doorstep, this styled shoot is the perfect warm and bright inspiration. Thanks to Pantone’s color of the year, coral makes the perfect backbone for this fun and colorful shoot.

“After the dreary and gray of winter, I knew I needed a fun, colorful shoot to reawaken my creative juices,” said the shoot’s photographer. “I really wanted to explore the Pantone color of the year, coral, in a way that was cheerful without being tropical.”

The theme of warm colors, fun details and fruit continued into all aspects of this shoot. From the bride’s look to the flowers, down to the cocktails, no detail was too small.

The bride and groom first met at the outdoor ceremony tree site. A long and winding tree limb was draped with a sheer fabric and hanging spheres dripping with flowers. It was a whimsical look in the most fun way possible.

Beneath the tree limb was a live musician from Benjamin T. Warner Events playing his guitar as the bride and groom met for the first time. The groom stood there in his light blue suit jacket, navy blue dress pants, white dress shirt and blue textured tie. His greenery and coral accented boutonniere added the perfect pop top his look.

The bride wore a flowy A-line gown with a V-neck front and back for a flirty feel. Her hair was pulled back in a simple bun and accented with a floral cluster for a fun and colorful touch. She carried a wild, loosely tied bouquet of flowers with pops of pinks and corals.

After soaking in the beauty of the ceremony space, the couple wandered around the grounds of the picture perfect venue. All the surrounding greenery and landscaping, grey stone walkways and blueish color of the house played in perfectly to color scheme to balance out the pinks and corals.

They reached the table that was set up just outside the house. The rectangular table was draped with a light blue linen and set for just the two of them. There was a sheer blue table runner lined with a variety of different fruits from grapes to grapefruits to pears and even a few avocados. A few greenery leaves and coral candles were mixed throughout. At the two place settings were two white round plates topped with a coral napkin and a small handful of blueberries.

“I brought in the avocado greens and blue berries to balance out the shock of the coral, while still adding in playful elements,” said the photographer.

While the bride and groom took a few more pictures around the property, the table was then reused to create a cocktail display. A coral, blue and green watercolor painting served as the backdrop for the colorful and fun cocktails.

This styled shoot thought about everything, down to the very last details, including the invitation suite. With its coral envelope, fun freehand script and citrus fruit stamps the paper suite nailed the look on the head and was a perfect representation into the wedding day look and style.
