A Dreamy Southern Bridal Session

Kelly Zander + Keith Patterson | Apr 30, 2017

Kelly and Keith met in March 2015 at a birthday party. Kelly spotted Keith playing ping-pong and was immediately attracted to him. Not knowing Keith’s real name yet, she referred to him as “white Lacoste,” a name she came up with based on his outfit. Kelly made her way over to the table and the two hit it off over some competitive rounds of ping-pong and H-O-R-S-E. At the end of the party, the two swapped numbers but it would be a few days before contact was made and a first date was set up. Kelly is a school teacher and Keith worked late so the only option was a 5 a.m. coffee date. Tired as he was, as soon as Kelly walked through the door, Keith’s heart jumped and he immediately perked up (and it wasn’t because of the coffee!). He knew right away that she was someone special! After that early coffee date, the rest was history and the two went on to tie the knot this past May!

For Kelly’s bridal session, Katy, from Katheryn Jeanne Photography, wanted to capture Kelly’s free spirit and her happy, laid-back personality. Katy knew there was no better spot to capture Kelly’s essence than in an overgrown field. Kelly’s personality shined through in her beautiful blush Stella York gown and dreamy floral crown. The natural background, paired with her stylish gown, was the perfect combination of natural and romantic. The barn was chosen to represent their ceremony that was to come at The 1932 Barn in Charlotte with similar light fixtures and feel. The shoot was nothing short of perfection, capturing Kelly’s radiance and bridal glow!
