Maryanne Stern + Vijay Virmani | Mar 25, 2017
Maryanne and Vijay met in college when Vijay was working on a math project with friends in Maryann’s townhouse. Maryanne came up with a cheesy pickup line and directed it towards Vijay, who was sitting across the room. The line was a hit, the numbers added up, and Vijay eventually ended up on Maryanne’s doorstep for a first date with a fresh apple pie! The idea was a winner and the two completely hit it off from there.
Maryanne and Vijay were married on a beautiful March day at Deerpond Plantation, a 16-acre garden venue right outside of Charlotte. Maryanne had dreamed of a garden fairy tale wedding since she was a little girl and the plantation’s house and grounds made her dream a reality. The venue was made even more beautiful by the colorful flower arrangements and a fabulous tent was brought to life with chandeliers and twinkling lights. Maryanne and Vijay chose a bright color scheme of blue and yellow which was perfect for a springtime wedding and their gorgeous tiered cake by Sweet Boutique Bakery captured the feel perfectly! Maryanne’s lace ballgown was fit for a princess and her custom 12-foot veil was truly breathtaking! One of the best parts of the day for the couple was the first dance. Say’s Maryanne, “I'll never forget my husband singing the words of the song to me as he swept me off my feet.”
Congratulations, Maryanne & Vijay!
