Lauren + William | Sep 24, 2016
When Lauren and Will described their style and wedding vision, they used words like classic, timeless and romantic. And this lakeside affair was just that.
They arrived at their Charlotte wedding reception by boat and incorporated navy, blush and gold with a nautical flair. An intimate wedding ceremony revealed that the couple had purchased four engagement rings to get the design just right, four wedding gowns to find the perfect dress and four honeymoon locations until they could choose the best trip, a story to be passed down through the ages (and don’t worry, the unused items were all returnable!). The sentimental couple also incorporated unique family heirlooms: “something old” was the bride’s veil which her aunt wore 40 years ago alongside the groom’s grandmother’s pearl bracelet; “something new” was the carefully selected wedding gown; “something borrowed” was the mother of the bride’s original engagement ring stone which had been lost but was later made into a necklace when she found it; “something blue” was the bride’s signature perfume and garter.
