Lifelong romance buds in this hometown wedding

Kristina Hargett + Daniel Stroud | Oct 15, 2016

Kristina and Daniel have technically known each other for twenty years, believe it or not! After being friends in school, the two went their separate ways for college. Deep down, both of them knew they were meant for each other but the timing never seemed to work out between other relationships, grad school, living in different locations and life.

Just when they thought that door had shut, they both returned to their small town at the same time and resumed their friendship that quickly blossomed into love.

With such strong ties to their hometown, Kristina and Daniel chose her childhood home for their wedding day. A working farm, they used it as inspiration for their simple rustic wedding style.

They used mismatched glassware for centerpieces, ferns grown by Kristina’s mom and let the farm landscape speak for itself throughout the night (including using a greenhouse for the ceremony itself!).

Since they chose a non-traditional Charlotte wedding venue, it was a lot of work for the couple, their parents, family and friends.

“It was a lot of manual labor and very stressful but seeing our vision come to life, experiencing that day at a location that already held a special place in both our hearts and hearing everyone’s awe and amazement was so worth it.”

It was a community effort to give Kristina and Daniel the perfect wedding day but it turned out beautifully.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Stroud!
