Northern Girl Embraces The Southern Bridal Session

Sam and Alex were college sweethearts and her career as a pharmacist brought them to Charlotte a little over a year ago. They got engaged the week before she graduated school, in the classroom they met; Alex had written, "Will you marry me?" on the chalkboard at the University of Pittsburgh and surprised Sam!

During their engagement, they enjoyed exploring and loving their new neighborhood in South End.

Being a Northern girl, Sam didn't know what a bridal session was, but loved her dress and wanted to get an idea of what she would look like as a bride with her hair and makeup done. Erin of E. Henigan Studios chatted with Sam about a bridal session, explaining how it could be the perfect way for a bride to see her dress, flowers, makeup and hair all come together before the big day (plus more photos in her gown!).

Sam had all five of her bridesmaids and mom fly to Charlotte for the ultimate girls weekend and found the perfect gown. Sarah Collier created a gorgeous soft pink bouquet for the session that perfectly accented the dress and makeup. The session took place at Independence Park around sunset. When it was all said and done, Sam knew exactly which shoes she should wear on wedding day and which color lipstick to wear. Plus the added confidence of knowing exactly how her wedding day photos would look.
