This inspiration shoot featured Amber and Colton as models, a sweet and hilarious real life couple. The two met as freshmen in high school and are as happy as can be five years later.
“He is so adventurous, whereas I’m scared of my own,” Amber said of Colton. “He is always my voice of reason, able to talk me into some fun new adventure. We always have a blast. I am huge on planning and I enjoy all of the little details known ahead of time whereas Colton is more of a go-with-the-flow type of person.”
What they say is true, opposites definitely attract. With this couple, it’s the perfect yin and yang combination that works!
“Our absolute favorite thing to do is try new restaurants. Whether it’s a trendy hole in the wall, or a five-star restaurant, we love food and getting our bellies full.”
It had been three years since the couple had any professional photos taken of the two of them together so when they saw Kevyn’s post on Facebook about needing a couple for a photo shoot, they jumped on the opportunity (before even realizing it was a wedding photo shoot!).
Amber described meeting Kevyn at the bridal shop in Charlotte with a similar feeling to how she would feel picking out her wedding dress for her own wedding day.
“Once I put my dress and jewelry on it felt so surreal, it felt like a glimpse into my future,” said Amber.
The shoot was set beside a gorgeous pond that made for the perfect backdrop despite the unusual hot day. The entire setting had a natural, organic feel that was mirrored in the centerpieces and flowers. Blush, navy and silver accents elevated the outdoor affair while keeping the entire setting very classic. The gorgeous navy and white cake from Cake Expressions by Lisa with lace accent was the icing on top (pun intended!).
“I know that Sweet Magnolia Beauties and Kevyn will certainly be hearing from me in the future,” said Amber. “They were such a pleasure to work with and I would love to have them as part of my special day in the future!”
