Martha Spears + Robbie Kirk | May 29, 2016
Robbie and Martha’s wedding was a mix of formal and fun. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, where they are members. As residents of the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, Vanlandingham Estate was a natural selection for their reception. As huge live music lovers, they opted to hire Chuck Folds Five to keep their dance floor packed all night (and wow, did they!).
The bridesmaids were dressed in navy blue and emerald green dresses. The natural beauty of the Vanlandingham Estate was captured in the flowing flowers, greenery seen in both the bride’s bouquet and reception centerpieces, and greenery details in the seating chart. A barely naked cake was completed with cute state toppers, representing where the bride and groom are from.
Rob + Kristen Photography shared their favorite memories from wedding day:
“Our favorite detail of the day was the inclusion of Willa, Robbie’s daughter, as the only flower girl. She and Martha shared so many special, sweet and often hilarious moments throughout the wedding day.”
The fun night ended with a sparkler exit and the couple riding off into the night on a Harley Davidson. Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
