Intimate and minimalist styled shoot with a neutral color palette and pops of Pantone blue at the Jiddi Space and Courtyard in Raleigh, North Carolina
Nestled in the heart of downtown Raleigh, a hidden gem of a wedding venue was the perfect backdrop for this styled bridal shoot. This secluded indoor/outdoor space boasted exposed brick and other industrial-chic elements that beautifully contrasted the elegant minimalist theme.
“The vendors came together to create a wedding scene to inspire the minimal and intimate bride,” said the photographer. “They showed that sometimes less really is more and that simplicity is truly the ultimate sophistication.”
Each personal touch to the day made this shoot one of a kind - starting with the invitation suite. The invitations were on soft ivory deckle-edge paper, with simple script and eucalyptus branch designs. It was paired with a Pantone blue envelope, addressed in eloquent handwritten calligraphy.
For the bridal look, the model wore a breathtaking, princess-cut gown with gorgeous sheer sleeves featuring lace detailing. Both the front and the back of the gown showcased a deep V cut, and her lace-trimmed cathedral veil cascaded down her back into her train.
“Our model was glowing like an angel in the wedding gown,” said the photographer. “It was an honor to be part of this shoot and have such beautiful memories of a gorgeous sunny day.”
Her hair was loosely pinned back into a low bun, with a few wavy strands framing her radiant face. She wore a pair of crystal drop earrings, and carried a luscious bridal bouquet filled with ivory roses and sprigs of mixed greenery - honoring a traditional bridal selection.
“The florist chose to go with a simplistic design for the budget-conscious bride,” said the photographer.
There were matching floral arrangements in smaller and unique installations filled with lilies, daisies, and greenery in beautiful blue farmhouse vases. The ceremony aisle was lined with fresh greenery, and there were wreaths hanging on the whitewashed farm doors that created the altar moment.
“Picking flowers that are in season not only provides a fresh and delightful smelling arrangement but also keeps costs down,” said the photographer.
All of the vivacious greenery and soft white florals created the most exquisite contrast against the venue’s mixed exposed brick and cement walls. Inside and out, there were enchanting string lights twinkling overhead, adding a touch of romance to the ambience. There were rustic wooden cross back chairs set up for the guest seating, and inside - the loveliest tablescape design.
“The beautiful cross back chairs were the perfect way to catch the guests' eye,” said the photographer, “taking this beautiful industrial space to the next level!”
On a robin’s egg blue linen, the table was set with the table number on a deckle-edge card, glass candle votives, and a centerpiece flower arrangement in a glass gourd vase, overflowing with early spring blooms. The place settings featured a set of creamy ceramic dinner plates, layered with a glossy champagne napkin and menu. Classic glassware and silverware added a simplistic touch to the spread.
“With the color of the year being blue,” said the photographer, “the event team decided to take a more simplistic approach with lighter blues and neutral tones.”
At the cake table, the wedding cakes were displayed on a gold jacquard print linen, with loose sprays of eucalyptus and a wooden laser cut “Mr. and Mrs.” The first cake was a single-tiered buttercream cake with ribbed frosting and a cake topper featuring an adorable furry duo. Next to it, there was a simple two-tiered cake with a blush peony bud and charming newlyweds on top.
“Getting together with local vendors is always a treat,” said the photographer. “From stationery to custom pet cake toppers, these vendors were a true delight to spend the day with.”
Congratulations to this team on a stunning, minimalist styled shoot!
