Urban and industrial engagement shoot turns magical on the mountaintops in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Awna and Grant first met while they were in the fourth grade attending the same church camp. A few years later they were both working at the church camp and during that time became very close friends. The following summer, the couple made it official and started dating.
It didn’t take the couple long to realize, even though they were young, they wanted to get married to one another.
“I realized that God had put Grant in my life for the purpose of getting married pretty early on,” said the bride to be. “There was no exact moment that I can recall, but I remember growing to be in love with who God made Grant to be and who Grant was becoming.”
The couple discussed marriage early on in their relationship, but it wasn’t until they were making graduation plans that they got serious about. They knew they would get married after graduation, but Awna had no clue when the proposal would actually happen.
It just happened that the couple had a trip planned with Grant’s family to Disney World. Since the couple love all things Disney, Awna had a hunch it might happen during that trip even though Grant tried to convince her otherwise.
One night on the trip, Grant’s parent set up a surprise for the couple and took them on a private boat tour of all the Disney resorts, ending with a stop at the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks display. When Awna’s favorite Disney song started playing during the fireworks, Grant knew it was the right time. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him with a vintage ring Awna picked out.
The couple celebrated their engagement with an urban and industrial engagement shoot in downtown Winston Salem, followed by a magical mountaintop engagement shoot. Between the bubblegum mural, the quaint downtown sidewalks and the breathtaking mountain views, each picture was more magical than the next.
With a magical Disney proposal and a magical engagement shoot, it only makes sense that their wedding is going to be magical and Disney themed!
Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs.!
