Happily Ever After: A Snow White in Spring Inspiration Shoot

Magic mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? We all know the story of Snow White so it’s no surprise this classic fairytale served as wedding day inspiration for this gorgeous spring inspiration shoot. Rose Trail Images teamed up with Three Region Photography and a slew of other talented local vendors to put a wedding day spin on the beloved childhood story. Inspired by the famous quote, “someday my prince will come,” the team envisoned a beautiful summer day filled with bluebirds chirping, flowers blooming and Snow White marrying her beloved prince. A love story we can all get behind!

The Hall and Gardens at Landmark was a dreamy setting for the shoot with its old-world European gardens and chateau-style elegance. Landscaped paths led to a enchanted wrought-iron gazebo surrounded by lush florals. A stone bridge over a koi pond set a magical tone as beautiful, enchanted elegance surrounded the bride and groom. From Snow White’s forest friends to the iconic poison apple, it truly felt as if you had stepped into the story. In lieu of escort cards, guests were treated to a personal key that led them to their seats where a personalized “poison apple” graced each setting. The long wooden tables were decorated with greenery runners and blue linens while yellow tapered candles paired perfectly with bright floral centerpieces.

Even the food had an enchanted air with edible flowers and beautiful plating. The cake was a dream and Snow White herself would have burst into song at its beauty! The three-tiered confection was iced in yellow frosting and decorated with bright hand painted watercolor flowers then topped with two adorable bluebirds. A spread of delicious desserts surrounded the fantastic cake and ranged from eclairs to mini pie tarts. The dessert table was covered in forest moss and flanked by various sized tree stumps topped with moss and candlelight. The forest shoot wouldn’t be complete without the Magic Mirror which was symbolized by a hand-calligraphed mirror with the well-known saying to tie the entire shoot together.

The bride and groom models were the epitome of royal elegance in their wedding day attire. The bride was dressed in a beautiful English tulle ballgown with romantic lace-capped sleeves which were accessorized with a dainty glittering tiara and ruby jewelry. Her hair was done in a side braid that was perfectly un-done and her loose curls made for the perfect non-traditional up do, fit for a princess. In keeping with the storyline, the bride even took a bite of the “poison apple” where she then fell asleep on a vintage lounge (yes, she was only awakened once she was kissed by her dapper groom).
