Intimate, Snowy Elopement in Boston

Florals: Sahara roses, protea, asters, James story orchids, snapdragon, dahlias, and greenery (sprengeri, eucalyptus, and grevilia) + locally grown luneria, feather grass and succulents.
Fun fact: The snow was a surprise for the shoot and ended up being the perfect “accessory”.
THE STORY:
With so many couples struggling to pivot from their big wedding vision to an intimate elopement, Kelly Elizabeth Events and Amanda Macchia Photography teamed up to show just how special a small celebration can be.
The shoot took place at The Liberty Hotel in Boston, a historic landmark that was once a jail turned hip, sophisticated hotel. A snowy winter day in the middle of a pandemic meant a quiet hotel turned into an epic lobby and outdoor portrait session.
To compliment the hotel’s sophisticated architecture, the planner brought in bold winter colors. The sweetheart table was styled with an emerald velvet linen, Christina Lacroix china, Vietri gold chargers and a ballerina pink napkin.
THE FAVORITE THINGS:
The hotel and the surprise snow.
“One of my favorite parts of the shoot was our opportunity to shoot up in the Ebersol Suite,” said Kelly of Kelly Elizabeth Events. “On a clear day, you can see the entire city of Boston. On this snowy day, it felt like we were up in the clouds! It’s truly one of the best suites in Boston.”
“The snow was actually a surprise for us,” said the planner. “As a planner, we like to have back up plans for every obstacle, but weather is always in charge. The snow ended up being the perfect accessory to the day and our models were absolute troopers making it look as magical as it felt.”
