Tropical-inspired styled shoot with a vibrant, tangy color palette and gold accents at a modern space in Miami, Florida
This tropical-inspired styled shoot was the brainchild of the florist, who initially wanted to provide high school seniors with a vibrant backdrop for their prom photos. After missing the prom window, the idea shifted to graduation photos - which ultimately led to tropical wedding inspiration!
“This concept then led to a larger concept and design,” said the event planner, “and this beautiful styled shoot was born!”
The vibrant color palette and modern elements were incorporated into the invitation suite by pairing chartreuse and blush hues with minimalist block lettering. The layout was displayed over a tan woven handheld fan-shaped like a palm leaf.
“The vendors in this shoot are all from South Florida and range in diversity along with our models,” said the event planner. “It was our goal to have a diverse team of experts to showcase their talents!”
For the bridal look, the model exuded glamour and sophistication in a champagne-colored silk slip dress. It featured a deep V-neck and midi-length hemline, and she completed the look in a pair of metallic, rose gold block heels and pink rainbow-arch statement earrings.
Complementing her sleek ensemble, her makeup was kept natural, with just a pop of pink on her lips that looked gorgeous against her rich skin tone.
Her groom looked dapper and relaxed in a pair of slate-gray slacks, a white dress shirt and a tailored navy dinner jacket. His boutonniere was a tiny representation of the overall floral design, made from a small palm frond and single tangerine-colored ranunculus.
In the bridal bouquet, the floral design featured fuchsia and tangerine roses and ranunculus, mixed with tropical greenery and tied with a canary yellow linen ribbon. Other arrangements featured pink ginger and lush green palms, with gold palm fronds incorporated all throughout for a modern touch.
“The florist is known for her fun, modern and tropical installations,” said the event planner, “and we really wanted to create a shoot that embodied her strengths!”
Inside the space, the minimalist and modern, all-white theme provided the perfect blank canvas for this colorful concept. For the tablescape, they used a white table with gold hairpin legs set with acrylic ghost chairs. On top, there were pink taper candles and single bud arrangements in geometric vases.
“The bud vases on the table are custom-made from wood and provide a unique, whimsical touch to the table,” said the event planner.
Each place setting was fixed with a simple gold-rimmed glass plate, layered with a bright canary yellow folded napkin and a tiny gold palm frond. For glassware, they drank from textured dusty rose acrylic goblets.
“The rentals were carefully crafted to embody a feminine and fun nature!” said the event planner.
They displayed the wedding cake on a blush pink desk with gold hardware, surrounded by vivacious floral arrangements and an abundance of tapered candles. The unique, two-tiered cake featured a metallic rose gold and ivory patterned base, garnished with a green palm leaf and coral flamingo flower.
After cake, the couple and the bridesmaid, in a peachy satin, floor-length gown, posed for photos in front of a whimsical display of flowers. Gold and turquoise palm fronds popped against exotic pink flowers, with petals scattered across the minimalist white floor.
“Our goal for the shoot was to create a modern and fresh inspiration for those couples who are working on their designs for 2021,” said the event planner. “This shoot also allowed us a creative outlet during COVID!”
Congratulations to this team of wedding vendors on a dreamlike styled shoot, and for inspiring others to channel creative outlets during these times!
