It all started with a dress – because doesn’t it always?! When part wedding planner part wedding dress shop owner saw this dress, she knew she had to showcase it in an amazing styled shoot. So that’s what she did!
The two piece short sleeve lace crop top and full tulle trained skirt was the inspiration behind this moody rocker chic styled shoot that had a touch of boho flair. It just happened to work out perfectly that there was a new venue in town that matched this style perfectly.
Between the floor-to-ceiling window pane as the ceremony backdrop, and the mixed brick and concrete floor in the reception space, all style elements completely complimented one another.
There was a hexagon shaped gold metal backdrop set for the ceremony space. It was draped with greenery and burgundy Amaranthus on one side, while a macramé piece hung from side to side and a small braided rug laid underneath it all for those boho touches. On each side of the backdrop were lots of green plants and a tall wooden stand that had different sized gold candle holders and terrariums with pillar and taper candles sitting on top. The terrarium and candle display continued on to the floor surrounding the wooden stand, leading up to the backdrop display.
The aisle was also lined with a pattered rug while Tuscan wooden chairs were placed on each side, with the aisle chair marked with a touch of greenery. There were even “guests” present at the shoot to fill the seats to create a real wedding feel.
Along with her two piece ensemble, the bride wore her hair down in loose natural waves and a soft makeup look. She carried a wild, loose bouquet with matching burgundy Amaranthus and other darker tones to set a moodier feel.
The bride’s softer beauty look was the perfect complement to her groom’s more casual look. He wore cuffed khaki pants, a white linen shirt with no tie and a navy blue double breasted sports coat.
For the reception set up, there was a natural wooden table with matching wooden Tuscan chairs set and a table dripping with moody boho style. All the same elements from the ceremony space were used to decorate the table so the shoot kept one cohesive look throughout all elements; and Amanda Moss Photography didn’t miss a beat in capturing every beautiful detail.
There was a macramé table runner that hung over each side of the table. The runner had greenery and more burgundy Amaranthus sprinkled on top and was lined with matching gold candle holders and terrariums holding a variety of different sized candles, greenery and single burgundy blooms.
Each place setting was set with a round white dinner plate, square white salad plate and square white bread plate. The mixture of round and square really brought an edgy feel to the table. But what really made things feel edgy was the onyx black flatware that we are crushing on hard!
Before things ended, this rocker chic couple showed off their rocker side while the groom busted out his guitar and serenaded his bride while she rocked an oversized white hat. She even took her turn on the guitar!
