Lauren + Ralph | Dec 27, 2019
Christmas-inspired wedding with red and green tones, gold accents and a lively celebration at The Piedmont Room in Atlanta, Georgia
Just two days after Christmas, Ralph and Lauren tied the knot during an elegant ceremony at her family’s church, followed by a festive celebration blending classic red and green tones, gold accents and touches of holiday elements.
“These colors pulled in the Christmas element while remaining classy and gorgeous,” said the photo + video team.
For her winter bridal look, Lauren looked absolutely breathtaking in an ivory crepe satin A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and an open back. She added tiny celestial hairpins to her low updo, with a unique cape to tie the ensemble together.
“Lauren loves Phantom of the Opera,” said the wedding photo and video team, “so her dress was classic with straight lines, and she wore a beautiful cape to bring in those vibes!”
Ralph looked dapper in a charcoal grey suit with a gold tie, worn with an evergreen boutonniere that complemented the bridal bouquet of eucalyptus, pine, anemones and deep red carnations. The floral design was intricate and minimal, with a bounty of bright red poinsettias surrounding the altar.
“The ceremony space had very minimal decor in order to preserve the natural beauty of the church,” said the photo and video team.
There were wreaths and garlands of winter greenery inside the space, which brought out the bridesmaids’ metallic gold skirts and hunter green blouses, as well as the groomsmen’s satin emerald ties.
Surrounded by their family and friends, Lauren finally met her soon-to-be husband at the altar, where they participated in communion together and listened to heartfelt readings by loved ones throughout the ceremony.
“I think that the most special part of their wedding was the moment Lauren came down the aisle,” said the photo and video team, “tear-jerker for sure!”
Between the ceremony and reception, Ralph and Lauren posed for intimate portraits and photos with the wedding party in front of the Atlanta skyline. As soon as they walked through the ivory drape curtains for their grand entrance, the party kicked off with a lively dance floor, sentimental toasts and endless celebrations.
The wedding reception space fused historic charm with modern elegance, boasting original granite walls and ivy-covered windows in the foyer, with soaring windows and ceilings in the main room. Decor and centerpiece elements were elegant, classy and slightly whimsical - all designed and created by Lauren's mom.
“They incorporated a few elements of Christmas, since their wedding was only two days after,” said the wedding photography and videography team, “while keeping a beautiful charm!”
Each table was set with ivory linens and gold Chiavari chairs, topped with abundant greenery, cozy candlelight and festive gold Christmas tree figurines. There was also a rustic, framed sign reading, “let heaven and nature sing,” displayed with frosted pinecones and berries.
For dessert, they served a three-tiered naked wedding cake, decorated with a gold “Mr. and Mrs.” topper. The cake was even accompanied by a wooden donut wall with clever wordplay reading, “holy matrimony”.
After the final dance, their guests lined up outside the venue for the much-anticipated send-off - where Ralph kissed his bride amidst the warm glow of sparklers.
We wish Ralph and Lauren a lifetime of happiness!
