Noelle Cowley + Gregg Leonard | Oct 7, 2017
Noelle and Gregg’s October wedding was elegance at its finest. The black-tie wedding was full of class and beauty. I mean, who wouldn’t swoon over gold Chiavari chairs with black cushions, fluffy crisp hydrangeas and tall clear modern vases.
The couple started the day getting ready with their respective bridal party members. Once Noelle was dressed and revealed the dress to her bridesmaids, everyone was speechless. I think the look on their faces says it all!
The bride wore a strapless fitted gown with a faint sweetheart neckline and skinny jeweled belt. The button details trailing down the back were to die for. Her hair was pulled up and topped off with a floor length simple veil. For the ceremony, she topped her dress with a delicate sheer overlay lined with floral stitching and beading.
She carried a simple bouquet tightly arranged with neutral colored hydrangeas and roses, topped off greenery. Bridesmaids carried matching bouquets for a very clean look. The lighter, neutral colored florals popped against the bridesmaid’s floor length navy gowns. The lace detailing on the top of the gowns was spot on for the elegant feel.
The groom and groomsmen looked dapper in classic black tuxes complete with a crisp white short, black bow ties, and black cufflink and studs.
As Noelle walked down the aisle of the church on her father’s arm, there wasn’t a sweeter moment. The couple didn’t do a first look so Gregg’s reaction was priceless. The emotion on both of their faces was so real it hurt. They weren’t nervous at all because they did a note exchange that was captured beautifully (along with the whole day!) by Samantha Laffoon Photography and talked to one another before the ceremony.
The navy, cream and black color palette was an amazing mix of sophistication and elegance. The reception room is what dreams are made of. The couple really played off the venue’s gold and black floors.
They outfitted the space with gold Chiavari chairs that had black cushions, round guest tables with cream linens, gold chargers, and floral arrangements of hydrangeas, roses and dahlias. The tall arrangements sat atop tall clear cylinder glasses and brought some variance to the room.
The rectangular king’s table had a perfect gold and ivory paisley printed linen paired with a plush greenery runner with candles and blooms on top. The bride and groom’s chairs had a matching greenery garland draping it.
The couple’s four-tiered simple vertical iced wedding cake took centerstage in the ballroom. The clusters of flowers that topped the cake and each tier made it almost too beautiful to eat – we said almost!
The ornate crystal chandeliers and candlelight lit the room for the most elegant and romantic feeling until the last dance was danced!
Congratulations to the newlyweds, Noelle and Gregg!
