Cherish Wilson + Chad Fox | Apr 29, 2018
Cherish and Chad met through work and it wasn’t long before their friendship blossomed into a relationship. They knew they wanted to spend forever together so Chad planned the perfect proposal for his special love. The two were visiting Mt. Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi River, and they decided to head all the way to the top. It was a warm 80 degree, sunny day at the base of the mountain but as they climbed higher, the colder and cloudier it got. When they reached their peak destination, they were literally in the clouds so it was the perfectly location for Chad to pop the question.
“Even if we couldn't take advantage of the supposedly stunning views, I was on top of the world regardless when he asked me to marry him,” said Cherish.
Cherish and Chad chose a mantra of “springtime, sweet, romantic, lacy, and dusty hues” as the inspiration behind their gorgeous Separk Mansion wedding. They used the same phrase with everyone from the dress consultants to the tablecloth suppliers and their theme came together beautifully! The two shared a sweet first look before their ceremony took place under a stunning floral arch, full of lush greenery and a fabulous crystal chandelier.
Katherine from Katherine Elena Photography captured all of the pretty and shared, “One of my favorite moments of the day was during the ceremony. As Cherish was walking down the aisle by herself, she got about three-fourths of the way down and from behind me I heard Chad quietly say, 'I should go get her.' And then he did. That very small gesture spoke volumes, both about his character, and about the strength of their love.” Cue the waterworks!
Their reception was full of pastel, dusty-colored flowers and the new Mr. and Mrs. Fox made sure to incorporate lots of adorable foxes into their springtime décor. Their bloom-filled three-tiered cake even featured the cutest cake topper of two little foxes dressed in their wedding best. The pastel themed tables had low profile floral centerpieces to show off all of the beautiful greenery highlighting the elegance of the gorgeous mansion venue. A fun edition to the big day? Cherish’s best friend couldn’t be there so they had a life-size cutout made of her and she took part in everything from hair and makeup to the reception. After it was all said and done, the newlyweds headed off under a sea of flower petals to begin their new life as husband and wife!
Congratulations Cherish and Chad!
