When we planned to launch in South Carolina we started by planning a launch event in Greenville and we couldn’t have been more excited. We knew we wanted to make a statement and wow the attendees with something special, so before the launch event we decided to put together a mini styled shoot that would stay on display during the event later that evening. We settled on a modern Bustld-esque theme with an industrial twist, thanks to our backdrop at The Old Cigar Warehouse.
The venue had exposed brick walls, hanging Edison lightbulb chandeliers, copper stained concrete floors, exposed wooden beams and columns and the most perfect grand staircase with iron wrought railings. It was industrial perfection, so it was a no brainer to take Bustld’s usual modern look of marble and blush and give it some industrial flare. And when you’ve got a photographer like Red Apple Tree Photography behind the camera, you know the pictures are going to be something special!
There was a wooden farm table in the center of the room set with two tall, oversized arrangements towering over the table. The cream, blush and peach flowers were mixed with tons of greenery and sitting on top of metallic copper stands. Beneath the arrangements, there was a greenery runner with more peach, blush and ivory blooms scattered throughout. Mixed into the runner were Himalayan salt votives, blush votives and copper candle holders with black candlesticks. Frilly Bloomers really knocked this table’s floral arrangement out of the park!
For each of the six place settings Tri-Country Rentals found us the most amazing pieces. There was the unique copper charger topped with a trio of white plates separated by a blush linen napkin and a blush crystal glass. Our favorite touch was the black onyx flatware – it was so different and modern yet industrial at the same time!
Scattered around the room were a few cocktail tables covered in a blush linen and surrounded with metal backless bar stools. On top of the tables was a Himalayan salt votive, a little splash of greenery and a single bloom.
There was no shortage of food, that’s for sure. Thanks to both Tim Holmes Catering and Seasons Café and Catering the shoot featured some delicious looking meals and hors d’oeuvres. From upscale plated meals, like peppercorn crusted tenderloin and crab cakes with remoulade, to small bites like pulled pork sliders and tomato crostini, to an entire cheese and cracker display, our mouths are still watering just thinking about it all!
Not only was there a ton of real food, but there were two different cakes on display, too. Couture Cakes of Greenville set up an amazing four tier cake. The cake was all white with some copper detailing on the bottom and top tiers. It sat on top of a wooden pedestal stand and was surrounded by some greenery and black candlesticks holding white tapers.
Holly’s Cakes had an equally amazing three tiered cake. The bottom tier had ruffle ombre blush to white icing, the middle tier was marbled and the top tier was all copper. There was a cluster of flowers and greenery between the middle and top tier and matching flowers and greenery wrapping the wooden ladder it sat on.
Later that evening, as guests flooded in, they got to enjoy everything that the styled shoot featured from the décor, to the food to the cake (well, cupcakes really because those cakes were just too darn pretty to cut!) and even some drinks thanks to Liquid Catering. There was also music and a photo booth from Uptown Entertainment to keep them busy!
The whole day was caught on video thanks to Taylor Heery Photography and we love being able to relive every moment of our successful launch. Thanks for having us, Greenville and we are excited to officially be here!
