Sunset Proposal for a Gorgeous Fall Wedding

Katie Quintana + Nathan Bradley | Oct 22, 2016

A long weekend vacation to Turks & Caicos turned into a super romantic proposal for Katie and Nathan. Arriving at West Bay Club, Katie found out that Nathan had sneakily booked the nicest room in the hotel.

“I was getting ready for dinner that first night and Nathan, my usually very laid-back boyfriend of five years, was pacing around the hotel and rushing me out the door,” said Katie. “I wanted to take a picture on our balcony before we left so we set up an automatic timer and took a few pictures (looking at these pictures now, I see that there is a huge box in his pocket!). We left the hotel and started walking to dinner on the beach.”

They didn’t get very far before Nathan got down on one knee and pulled a box out of his pocket. Being a man of few words, he got straight to the point and said, “will you marry me?” Katie says she screeched “yes” and then he slipped her dream ring on her finger.

“With tears in my eyes I threw my arms around his neck,” said the bride. “We sat down on some beach chairs for a few minutes so we could take in the sunset, soak in the moment and, of course, take some selfies. It was perfect!”

The bride wanted an elegant and fun wedding and that’s exactly what she had in this Charlotte wedding captured by Cassie Leigh Photography. Their warm fall color palette of cranberry, peach, light orange and gold fit perfectly within their style. With friends and family traveling from all over the country to celebrate their love, it was also important that everything was easy to get to, making downtown Concord the perfect place for their wedding. They also wanted their guests to enjoy the night making delicious food, provided by Bistro Catering, and a great party big priorities.

Their Charlotte wedding, described as a “rockin’ good time” by the groom, featured a sweet ceremony and a packed dance floor.

The Charlotte bride’s best advice to other brides? “Go with your gut. If you can’t stop thinking about a dress, vendor or other detail (and it’s within the budget), pick it and don’t second guess yourself.”

Congrats to the happy couple!
