Lavender isn’t a color you traditionally think of when you hear fall wedding. But this styled shoot showed us why you should include this dreamy shade of purple in every fall wedding!
Dusty shades of lavender were accented by touches of lilac, creamy ivories, moody mauves and elements of greenery to create a look that was warm, romantic, and absolutely perfect. The shoot took place at Legacy Stables and Events in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a 30-acre estate and horse farm oozing Southern charm and beauty with its sprawling pasture views and stunning venue options.
The model bride’s gleaming long blonde hair was styled in an elaborate twisted and pull-through braided “down-do” with soft curls framing her face. Dramatic lashes and shimmery makeup gave her the perfect bridal glow and paired perfectly with her off-white lace-applique gown with its plunging neckline and soft sheer layers. A dramatic cathedral-length veil with lace trim completed her look. A gorgeous bouquet full of soft purple roses, ivory hydrangeas with tinges of pink and green, and sprigs of lavender pulled together the essence of the shoot’s theme.
As the sun set on the perfect late-August day, the warm light set a romantic mood on the gorgeous Legacy House and its manicured grounds. A gorgeous tablescape was set up in front of a roaring outdoor fireplace in a gorgeous circular stone courtyard and the lovely lavender theme was abundant in the table décor. Tall, gilded candlesticks with tapered white candles in mixed heights twinkled in the evening twilight and the light bounced beautifully off the floral themed china with gold accents. Elegant menus graced the place setting and featured a watercolor painted sprig of lavender along with a single live lavender accent as a little something extra. Goblets in various shades of lavender and aubergine paired perfectly with the rustic wooden table and the gauzy table runner while a stunning floral centerpiece showcased flowers also found in the bride’s bouquet.
A beautiful four-tiered wedding cake pulled the inspiration of the shoot together into one place, with its intricate and romantic fondant detail, hand-painted floral design, and perfect greenery topper trailing to the top. A fabulous bar was constructed from an old door atop large wooden barrels, a rustic yet chic look that was a perfect fit for the wooden walls of the stable-turned-venue setting.
Twinkling market lights and an industrial B-A-R sign added fun elements to the décor. The bride and groom had the best time popping bottles of bubbly with their intimate wedding party. This gorgeous styled shoot was truly what lavender inspiration dreams are made of!
