The Hunt Is Over

Jessie + Treanor | Oct 18, 2019

Farm-chic rehearsal dinner with an earthy color palette and rustic décor at a private residence in Nashville, Tennessee

The evening before Jessie and Treanor’s wedding, the groom’s family hosted a farm-chic rehearsal dinner at their gorgeous home, featuring earth tones, neutral florals and rustic décor inspired by his love for hunting and the outdoors.

“He is a hunter and they have a farm, so the mother of the groom wanted to incorporate items from the farm,” said the event planner. “We used deer antlers, cattails, dried pods, and other items found at the farm.”

It was a cool, fall evening in Nashville, and the grounds surrounding the private residence were still perfectly lush and green. An elegant, clear sided tent was set up with ivory chiffon draping and delicate twinkle lights strung overhead. The guests would be enjoying dinner under the stars.

There was also an array of tan rattan pendant light fixtures hanging over the tables and bar area. With the help of a fabulous florist, all of the woodsy elements were incorporated into the showstopping floral arrangements. Each was a mixed selection of honeycomb, blush peonies and garden roses, sprays of fern and myrtle, hydrangeas, cattails and pheasant feathers.

“There was amazing décor at this event,” said the event planner, “and we even matched the décor to the dinner menu.”

The dinner menus were on bone-colored paper, embossed with hunter green calligraphy and stamped with the couple’s monogram, showcasing an antler design. Every menu was complete with a guest's name to designate their seat at the table. For the table arrangements, there was a long wooden farm table and a handful of round tables, all set with wooden crossback chairs and courtesy of Please Be Seated Rentals.

“Also, the most amazing seating chart was made,” said the event planner. “It was on theme in wood with white lettering and said, ‘Hunt for your Seat’!”

The seating chart was on display on a round table, with a buffalo check linen tablecloth in sand and white, as soon as guests entered the tented area. It was accompanied by deer antler sheds, slabs of lush green moss, and floral arrangements in wicker basket bases.

On the head farm table, there was a garland of fresh greenery and florals that ran through the center, complemented by more antlers, candle votives and candlesticks in fluted wood, antique candle holders. At each place setting, a classy dinnerware presentation enhanced the overall tablescape design.

There were dark brown rattan chargers, fine china dinner plates with a brown floral border, silver flatware and classic glassware. Sitting on top of each dinner plate, the menu was tucked into a folded, sand and white buffalo check linen napkin, adorned with a spray of dried pampas grass.

The round tables were in matching, sand and white buffalo check linen tablecloths, boasting a mismatched tablescape design. In the center of the table, there were antler sheds, table numbers hand painted on wood blocks, rust-colored candles in glass votives and smaller flower centerpieces in wooden bases. The place settings were slightly different with acacia wood slice chargers and pewter napkin linens.

At the wooden bar, there was another flower arrangement, a bottle display with a decadent lineup, and cream cocktail napkins stamped with the couple’s monogram design. Complementing the tasteful selection of sips and spirits, the Southern-inspired cuisine for the evening included venison, duck poppers and filets.

“Also, we had a wine pairing with each course as the groom is a wine connoisseur!” said the event planner.

We hope this couple’s wedding day was just as enchanting as their beautiful rehearsal dinner!
