Style: A mix of classic and modern
Fun fact: The couple wore matching Alexander McQueen sneakers during their reception.
Trevor Lawrence, the undisputed king of college football, married his high school sweetheart Marissa Mowry last weekend. After a proposal on the collegiate football field he played on for three years in the fall of 2020, Marissa and Trevor planned a wedding at the Montage Palmetto Bluff, the same venue where Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin said “I Do” only a few years before. Their marriage came right before Trevor’s impeding draft into the NFL.
The wedding had a perfect mix of modern and classic elements. The invitation suite and paper goods were simple and traditional, but the décor shined with a modern touch. The bride wore a simple, sleeveless, v-neck dress, with her hair down in soft curls. She wore a long veil and a diamond tennis necklace. The groom wore a more fitted suit with loafers and a diamond tennis bracelet matching the bride’s necklace. They said their vows in front of dozens of floating candles, with a glow emanating from behind them. After they said “I Do,” they were whisked away to their reception.
The reception was also a mixture of modern and traditional elements. They had creamy white linens on every table with gold chairs and small, light floral centerpieces. A neon sign saying “The Lawrences” sat against a fabric backdrop where people took pictures all night long. After some time eating and dancing, the guests were ushered out, and the couple shared a final dance by themselves. They then exited under the glow of sparklers, headed off into their new life as newlyweds!
