THE STORY:
This urban-boho-minimalist wedding inspired shoot was created in an ode to couples who are thoughtful of design but simplistic in their style. The neutral color palette aligned perfectly with the artful and minimalist approach.
The bride wore a simple boat neck dress with a low back in the first part of the shoot. She wore a tan headband with a thick knot in the center and a small wedding veil, as well as a wide brim felt hat. For the reception, she wore a silk dress with organza sleeves and teardrop feather earrings. Both looks evoked a vintage feel without being bygone to a former era.
The reception and wedding ceremony, while similar, carried different feelings. The ceremony felt brighter and lighter, while the reception dove into some of the darker colors in the scheme and felt decidedly moody. Despite their differences, both felt simple and demure but incredibly curated.
THE FAVORITE THINGS:
“The concept at the heart of this editorial was to explore modern forms of minimalism, not only in the sense of a celebration of negative space and absence, but also through the intentional selection of meaningful details.”
